The Real Battleground - Part Four by Darryl Robbins
In Part Three we saw the intense,
concentrated spiritual activity and warfare that surrounded the conception
and birth of Jesus.
We will continue to look at the
life and ministry of Jesus in the same light and will conclude this section
by zeroing in on the warfare that was evident at His betrayal and crucifixion.
We will probably go into that in Part Five. For now, there are some other
things I need to share with you.
The reason for continually dealing
with the spiritual warfare side of things is simple. Hopefully, it will
convince us that our strategy of how we normally approach things and deal
with things in the natural realm generally falls short in changing the
things that need to be changed, and fails miserably in bringing the intent,
will and purposes of God into manifestation in the earth.
As long as we attempt to achieve
supernatural, godly things by means of natural, carnal effort, we are going
to be disappointed.-------------everytime.
It is foolish to deny or believe
that the physical world, the natural realm is not a real realm. There are
those who teach that to one degree or another. That's foolishness. The
natural, physical realm is a real realm. All of us wake up to the pressures,
demands, responsibilities and realness of it every day. The realness of
it is not an issue.
The real issue is whether or not
the church and those who make up its ranks will see that the real battle
is not outward, but in the realm of the spirit. Please know this. The realm
of the spirit is just as real as the natural realm.
There is however, one very important
distinction between the natural, physical realm and the realm of the spirit
and that is this:
THE NATURAL, PHYSICAL REALM IS SERVANT
AND SLAVE TO THE REALM OF THE SPIRIT.
WHAT HAS OR IS HAPPENING IN THE
NATURAL REALM IS A DIRECT RESULT OF WHAT HAS OR IS HAPPENING IN THE REALM
OF THE SPIRIT.
NOTHING WILL CHANGE IN THE REALM
OF THE NATURAL UNLESS CHANGE OCCURS IN THE REALM OF THE SPIRIT.
I'm asking you------------No------I
beg you to hear the cry of my heart in this matter. My time and effort
thus far will have been wasted if you fail to hear me at this point. Please
understand that my motive for presenting this teaching, The Real Battleground,
is a motive with real and definable purpose. My intent is not to pass out
and dispense knowledge just so that you as a reader can acquire more knowledge.
Gaining knowledge just for the sake of gaining knowledge is futile and
fruitless. One of the greatest forms of bondage that exist today in the
church is the vast amount of good, sound, scriptural knowledge and information
that she has been given without ever really translating that knowledge
over into the arena of practical application. You can know everything there
is to know about spiritual warfare, the principles of warfare, all about
the weapons.........you can know all about it as far as information is
concerned. But unless you get before God with that information and allow
Him by His Spirit to impart into your spirit a measure of His wisdom, His
direction and timing for battle, then all of the information you have about
spiritual warfare is useless. It will just be another file of information
that can be tucked away in your briefcase of Bible knowledge that is already
splitting at the seams with a lot of other un-applied Bible knowledge you've
been lugging around forever.
Ain't it the truth.
For foundational purposes we do
in fact have some more information to deal with in the next section----
Part Five.
When we get to Part Six, our presentation
is going to change. We are going from the presentation of information into
some of the aspects of practical application. So, hang on to you hats.
Things could get real interesting when we reach that stage.
